Elson and Veneshaw Richardson met in the year 2014 and married one year later. From the beginning of their relationship, there was always some level of music involved. Elson has been a lover of the piano/keyboard from a very young age and excelled into one of the top keyboardists in Anguilla. Veneshaw has always had a love for singing and joined every school and church choir she could find herself in.
In 2017 they put their heads together and decided to start a band, 12th Avenue, which would allow other musicians and singers the exposure to excel as well. It was a great journey and though serving its purpose, it was short-lived. That did not stop their love for music and they continued to find other ways to bring out the music from inside.
The couple was blessed with a wonderful son, Symphony T. A. Richardson, in 2019 who came out ready to play any instrument he could get his hands on. They are looking forward to bringing STAR on the journey of music if that is the path he continues to trod. So far it looks like it may be drums…
The name 12th Avenue was inspired by the 12 major keys in music and the journey that Elson and V ventured on to start blending their talents in music. With the incredible accompaniment of some awesome musicians in Anguilla and abroad, they continue to strive towards a level of excellence and musicianship that can only exist with God at their centre.
